Two weeks of use and I am enjoying the many added features and design improvements compared to my Forerunner 235. Many more display elements, data components, and biometric info. Great battery life. Slight learning curve on finding and using new things, but relatively intuitive. I like the new watch band and color options, too. Overall very happy with this watch.
Received the watch for Christmas 2023. I've been wearing Garmin running watches for quite some time now, having started with a Forerunner 225, then a Fenix 3HR and my last watch before this one was a 935. Definitely love the feature set and all of the capability of this watch. Decided with all that this one can do I didn't need to go back to a 900 series as I generally don't use all that it is capable of. I love the ability to see so many data points (HRV, sleep score, body battery, etc.) directly from the watch. I've also been using the suggested running plan which takes the thoughts out of what run I should do for the day. Also for those looking for a great watch face, I love Garmin's Home-Fit Thrill. So many colors to mix it up and just enough data points.
I'm still learning to use it, but so far I'm impressed. The watch gives you a lot of metrics that give you good idea how the body is reacting to training. Great tool for athletes and everyone else.
I bought the watch, replacing my 645 music and it's been money well spent. Nice surprise on my birthday.
I bought this watch 3 weeks ago and I really like this watch! I switched over from an Apple Watch and it tracks my workout just so much better!
I've been using it for about two weeks. It's so much better than my old FR 235. HR monitor is very accurate. I compared against my chest HR monitor and I'm pretty happy with the results. The tracking while you sleep is pretty consistent. You can in fact see a trending, the results aren't all over the place like my old watch. The battery is very good. I have the tracking set to the max accuracy and battery life is still great and accuracy. This watch has a lot of sensors for people who likes data like me, and you can get even more if paired with external sensor like running power which is great. So far I haven't found anything I don't like. The connectivity with the phone is pretty reliable also. I didn't have any issues.
I bought this as an upgrade to my Garmin 235 and what a big difference. It gives me so much more useful information to help me be a better runner. I love all the new features! I can control my music, notifications, and phone calls. The various watch faces that can be accessed are great!
First off very amazing watch and the customization for your preferences of wedges you want to have setup and the sleep recording and swimming is my most focus right now but I'm slowly inching over to the running aspect of it so far I am very happy with it
I've had this watch for about 3 weeks. I had an instinct and it was great but I wanted something a little fancier. This watch works the same with 5 buttons and tracks well. It works great on outdoor runs and it's actually pretty accurate on my treadmill, the instinct was usually not in sync with my treadmill. The workout tracking is good for weight training. I like the watch faces but I'd prefer a few more options. It's comfortable but it doesn't track my heart rate as well as the instinct. I have tattoos and I know they create an issue. The reason I switched from Apple Watch to Garmin was because of that. The Garmin still tracks my runs while the Apple Watch would pause constantly. Heart rate isn't a deal breaker for me so the watch still does what I need and I recommend buying it.
Garmin Pay errors out when I try to add a card (Visa). Simply responds with “Error: something went wrong”. Weather won't show any data at all. Yes - synched and connected and GPS enabled and permissions allowed. And the software update keeps trying to send “update” but doesn't complete.
